Shipping your Hard Drive
1. Place the drive in an anti-static bag (if available). If not available, a large Ziploc bag will do.
2. Use an approved hard drive shipping container or use a box large enough to hold the drive and surround the drive with 3-5 inches of tightly packed bubble wrap. Be sure to insure the package against loss.
Do not use Styrofoam peanut shells or any other type of Styrofoam packing material because it attracts static electricity.
3. Please include a brief description of the problem and a list of the files that you wish to recover. You can also use the
Hard Drive Form on this website to submit this information.
4. Ship the hard drive to the address, that I provide when you contact me. Use a shipping service that provides a tracking number, so that you can locate your shipment, should a problem occur.
5. I will contact you with a
recovery estimate after evaluating the drive. See reasons for failure on Home Page.
Shipping Note: Hard drives are very fragile, please use adequate packaging to protect the drive during shipping.
